  The Kent Town Hotel is possibly one of the worst places I've eaten at. We dined with a group of 12 people in The Jungle Restaurant on a Wednesday night. One of our party ordered the king prawn & crab meat linguini main, for $36. The dish was bland in flavour, had two prawns and was extremely overpriced for a pub meal. We can get a better meal & service at a fine dining restaurant. Our concern was dealt with on the night but overall the experience was woeful. We waited an hour for our main courses and there is no flexibility to split the bill! We offered to order and pay at the bar and was told that would be too much hassle. Wouldn't come back.

  I'm still not totally convinced by the jungle theme renovation, the Tap In with the driving range was more my style, but the elephants and gorillas in the main dining area are certainly a talking point. The food here is great however and the rooftop bar is a good venue for their live music and drinks in the sun.

  I recently came here with my family for a quick meal. Walking into the venue my hopes were quite high as the atmosphere and setting were fantastic and the staff service was adequate. My main concerns are all to do with the food. We waited for an hour for chicken parmigianas that were bombarded with cheese and tasted like they had just been thawed out in the microwave, honestly, the worst parmys I think I've ever had. My Mum had the King George whiting and she said it tasted great, but the portion of the two fish fillets were the size of my index finger, which is ridiculous for $22. The only reason I'm giving you guys two stars instead of one is for the giant bowl of peanuts on the bar.
